The Common Jasmine plant probably originated in Persia, but there is a lot of uncertainty. It is native to a number of areas: Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and Nepal. If you wodner why High Grade, because is harvested from the very top bud in a tea shrub. Basically, the Jasmine plant flowers in similar conditions as some of China’s best-knows tea regions. These are mountainous areas with climates that range from cool to subtropical. The most famous Jasmine producing region in China (and thus the world) is Fujian. Specifically, the capital of Fujian, Fuzhou, is knows as the jasmine capital of China.

Brewing tip
Use 1/2 tsp per cup or 1/2 tsp per person for a teapot. Pour freshly boiled water, cooled to 70-80C, over the leaves and infuse for 1-3 minutes. May be re-steeped several times. Try brewing in a glass tumbler without using a filter.
Jasmine tea is recommended for pairing with coconut desserts, and in general all mildly sweetened Asian desserts go fantastically well with it, which is possibly why you'll be served a pot of jasmine tea as soon as you sit down for dim-sum.
